Providence Bruins News Release
Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, in their 18th year in the American Hockey League, announced that they have recalled defenseman Scott Fletcher from the ECHL's Reading Royals. With the move, the P-Bruins have 26 players on their roster, including 16 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.
Fletcher, 22, was assigned to Reading by Providence on January 21 and he has since appeared in seven games for the Royals, tallying one assist while collecting 33 penalty minutes. During his ECHL season, the rookie defenseman has suited up for 23 contests with four points (2g, 2a) and 67 PIM.
Fletcher earned his first career AHL recall on December 4, 2009 and he went on to appear in eight games for Providence, going scoreless with 22 PIM before missing the team's last 11 games of his recall due to injury.

In juniors, the undrafted native of Haslett, Michigan, appeared in 236 regular season contests with 15 points (2g, 13a) and 632 PIM. Fletcher also suited up for 25 playoff games, going scoreless with 48 PIM. He signed an AHL contract with Providence on August 11, 2009.
