February 12, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Manitoba Moose News Release

The Manitoba Moose are pleased to announce Aboriginal young people and their families will be special guests of the Manitoba Moose, the RCMP and First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) of Health Canada for the 10th annual "Follow Your Dreams" night on Saturday, February 13 at MTS Centre when the Manitoba Moose take on their division-rival, the Toronto Marlies.

The Manitoba Moose have made over 2,300 tickets available free of charge to Aboriginal youth and their families from across Manitoba. Event partners include the Manitoba Moose, Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs (AMC), FNIHB, the Tribal Councils Investment Group and the RCMP.

The guest speaker this year is Tinsel Korey, who stars as Makah Emily Young in the Twilight Saga movies. The 30-year old Ontario actress/singer/songwriter has worked on numerous films and television shows, from Steven Spielberg's "Into the West" to "The Lookout" with Jeff Daniels and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Korey is currently working on creating a foundation to bring arts to Native American Communities that don't currently have the programs available to their youth. Those interested in an interview with Korey can contact Jeff Mager at 204-981-4550.

"Follow Your Dreams" night focuses on healthy living for native communities, as well as choices and suicide prevention and offers a positive opportunity for youth to get to know RCMP members outside of the community setting. The RCMP will showcase different units, including Community and Aboriginal Policing, as well as Identification Services. Health Canada will feature booths focused on healthy living and eating, as well as building healthy communities.

Participating youth will be treated to hot dogs, pop and snack. Doors open to participants at 4:45 p.m. with pre-game events starting at 5:15 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. Doors open to the general public at 6:30, with the puck dropping at 7:30

Tickets for all Manitoba Moose home games are still available, including tickets to both games this upcoming weekend vs. Toronto Marlies, February 12th & 13th @ 7:30 PM. To get your tickets for any Moose game, please call Ticketmaster at 780-3333 or visit www.moosehockey.com.
