Marlies open Ice Deck at Ricoh Coliseum
April 7, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies announced Friday that they are opening a new social gathering spot in Ricoh Coliseum for fans attending Marlies' games. The area will allow fans to enjoy the unique view of being at ice-level and behind the net.
Beginning this Saturday, April 8, fans attending Marlies home games will notice an ice-level viewing area behind the north-end goal. The Ice Deck will be open to all ticket-holders and provides an exciting close-to-the-action view and the opportunity to socialize with other Marlies fans in an informal âstand-up' atmosphere. The Ice Deck was designed to provide the opportunity to increase the intimate and accessible Ricoh Coliseum experience for Marlies' fans.
"Our fans have frequently told us that they really appreciate how close they can get to the action and the players at Ricoh Coliseum at an affordable price. The Ice Deck is yet another chance for our fans to discover the intensity and speed of pro-hockey from an ice-level vantage point", said Marlies' spokesperson Casey Vanden Heuvel.
The Marlies will host the Manitoba Moose - AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks - on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. Fans are reminded that after every home game, a Marlies player will sign autographs in Marlies Alley.
