
Kings Send Petiot Back To The Monarchs

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parents club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned defenseman Richard Petiot to the Monarchs, Kings President of Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today.
Petiot, 23, has zero points and two penalty minutes in two games with the Kings this season. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound native of Daysland, Alberta, made his Kings/NHL debut versus Tampa Bay on January 17. Selected by the Kings in the fourth-round (116th overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Petiot has 13 points (4-9=13) and 52 penalty minutes in 60 games with the Monarchs this season, and he leads the team with a plus-14 rating.
The rivalry between the Monarchs and the Springfield Falcons continues on Friday, April 7 at the MassMutual Center. These two teams will face-off for the final time this season when the puck drops at 7:35 p.m.
