Malcolm MacMillan Loaned To Albany

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Malcolm MacMillan has been loaned to the Albany River Rats of the AHL. This marks the third trip this season to the AHL for MacMillan, a fourth year pro from Thunder Bay, Ontario. In 52 games with Reading this year, MacMillan (6'0"/200 lbs.) (24) has scored eight goals and assisted on twenty others, while compiling a league leading 223 penalty minutes. In a separate transaction today, the Royals signed forward Bill Downey. A third year pro from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Downey (6'1"/180) (25) scored four goals and assisted on three others in forty-four games with the Wheeling Nailers last season. Downey is expected to be in the line-up tonight for the Royals.
