LAST GAME vs Fresno: To kick off their final visit to Fresno in the regular season, the Salmon Kings swooped away with a first period lead at the Save Mart Center.
Victoria scored twice within three minutes at the end of the frame. Defenseman Paul Ballantyne scored a goal for his sixth point in the last eight games , and F.P. Guenette grabbed a powerplay goal.
With 2:29 remaining in the second period, Mike Stutzel popped in a loose puck for a powerplay goal and the three-goal lead and Julien Ellis made 27 saves in the first two periods.
Fresno fought back with a third period goal from Luke Curtin, but Victoria clinched the win.

Fresno flight plan changed: Victoria snapped the Fresno four game winning streak...was perfect on the penalty kill (5/5) and deadly on the powerplay (2/4)...posted the third consecutive game outshooting their opponent (128 shots for and 96 shots against).... Julien Ellis earned his season second best 0.974 save percentage...Paul Ballantyne tallied his 100th ECHL point...Kiel McLeod posted his 50th ECHL point.
Playoff picture: Victoria is holding the eighth playoff spot in the National Conference...are two points behind seventh spot (Phoenix)...remain four points ahead of ninth place (Utah)...have six games remaining versus Utah and three games versus Phoenix...six of those nine games are at home...the Salmon Kings have a winning percentage of 0.625 in last three series at home...a winning percentage of 0.750 in last eight games on the road...Alaska and Las Vegas lead the National Conference with 0.741 and 0.705 winning percentages.
Kings of the Club: Wes Goldie holds the club record for most goals in a single season (32)...ties record for most points in a season (57)...most shorthanded goals in a season (7)...Steve Lingren still holds club record for most powerplay goals (15)...Julien Ellis has the first shutout at home in club history...has most wins in a single season (16)...Ellis earned record with four straight wins as a starter and Bryan Bridges tied his record...The Salmon Kings have three hat-tricks this season (Stutzel, Goldie, and Bernier).
