Stockton Thunder News Release

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers, has announced left wing Brock Radunske has been reassigned to the Thunder by the Oilers.

"Without a doubt, Brock will add much-need scoring to our lineup," said Thunder head coach Chris Cichocki. "For a big man, he has a tremendous amount of skill and knows what to do with the puck while around the net. After scoring 38 goals in this league last year, he's a proven commodity."

Radunske, 23, is scheduled to make his debut with the Thunder tonight against the Cincinnati Cyclones at Stockton Arena and will wear jersey number 11.

The Kitchener, Ontario native has appeared in 102 ECHL games split between two seasons (2004-06) with the Greenville Grrrowl, scoring 83 points (50g-33a) with 110 penalty minutes. Last season, Radunske led Greenville with 38 goals, ranked fourth on the team with 54 points (38g-16a) and helped guide Greenville to an American Conference division semifinal playoff berth with a 45-24-3 regular season record (93 points).

A third-round selection (79th overall) of the Oilers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Radunske has appeared in 20 games this season with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League, scoring two goals with 12 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound forward also appeared in eight games with the Edmonton RoadRunners of the AHL in 2004-05, scoring a goal and an assist in eight games.

In his three-year (2001-04) college hockey career at Michigan State University (NCAA), Radunske scored 64 points (27g-37a) with 118 penalty minutes in 119 career games.

Radunske is re-united with former Michigan State teammate Mike Lalonde and former Greenville teammates Tim Sestito, Cam Ellsworth and Stephen Slonina.

The Thunder returns to play tonight against Cincinnati at 7:30 p.m. at Stockton Arena. The game can be heard live on the internet (free-of-charge) and is available for viewing for a $6 "pay-per-view" charge at www.stocktonthunder.com (courtesy of B2 Networks).
