LHP Caleb Frare assigned to Charlotte Knights

Yesterday, the Chicago White Sox announced that they acquired LHP Caleb Frare from the New York Yankees for international signing bonus pool money. Frare, 25, joins Charlotte's active roster today. He was 4-1 with a 0.81 ERA and five saves in 44.2 innings pitched between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season (32 games). He was promoted to Triple-A Thursday, July 26th. He was originally selected by the Yankees in the 11th round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft out of Custer County (Mont.) High School.
