The first-place IronPigs (62-41) play the opener of a five-game, four-day series against the Buffalo Bisons (47-54) at Coca-Cola Field... With a 14-8, home loss to Columbus yesterday, the Pigs snapped their three-game winning streak and fell short of earning their first-ever series win against the Clippers. Still, Lehigh Valley has won seven of its last nine games and 16 of its last 21 contests and owns a 35-15 record since June 3. The Pigs continue to hold a season-high/franchise-record 8.0-game lead in the North... The Bisons -- Toronto's top affiliate -- split a doubleheader in Indianapolis yesterday but lost the five-game series, 4-1. Buffalo has lost seven of its last nine affairs and is just 13-26 over its last 39 contests since June 19... Lehigh Valley swept the first meeting in Buffalo -- a rain-shortened two-game series from June 22-23.
RHP Tom Eshelman (1-9, 5.97) will start for LHV against LHP Thomas Pannone (0-2, 5.33).
