Today's Game
This evening, the Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the first game of a five-game in four-day series. The two teams will play a double header on Wednesday as part of a postponement from June 24. Following the series, Buffalo will head to Moosic, PA to take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Rail Riders before an off-day on Monday. The Herd's second-last homestand will take place August 7-12 against the Gwinnett Stripers and the Toledo Mud Hens.

INF Darnell Sweeney and INF Tim Lopes knocked in a run each in the opener as RHP Zach Stewart tossed five strong innings in his first start in a Bisons uniform. LHP Matt Tracy yielded just one hit and four walks over six in the no-decision in the second game of the day.
Lehigh Valley (3-10)
The Bisons will wrap up the season series against the IronPigs this week. The two teams last clashed in Allentown, PA in the first series out of the All-Star Break. The Herd took the opener before losing the next three. C Reese McGuire is batting .290 (9-31) with a .436 on-base percentage in ten games against the IronPigs this season.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to join the Herd
The Blue Jays announced Saturday that 3B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be promoted to the Bisons on Tuesday for his Triple-A debut. The top prospect in baseball according to both MLB.com and Baseball America, Guerrero hit .402 with 14 home runs and 60 RBI in 61 games for New Hampshire despite being the youngest player at Double-A. If he had 10 more plate appearances, his .671 slugging pct. would qualify as 54 points better than any other player in the minor leagues.

Catcher Danny Jansen ranks 3rd in the IL with his .390 on-base pct. He has been hit by a pitch 13 times, tied with Lehigh Valley's Dean Anna for the most in the circuit...The Bisons eight losses when leading after six innings are tied for the league's worst (Charlotte, Gwinnett)...OF Jonathan Davis has 111 hits between the Herd and New Hampshire (AA), the most in the Blue Jays system (INF Bo Bichette, 110).
Blue Jays Update
Toronto's (48-56) scored five in the top of the ninth inning to beat the Chicago White Sox 7-4. INF Lourdes Gurriel Jr. had three hits on the day to extend his multi-hit streak to 11 games. He is tied with Tony Perez and only two games away from Rogers Hornsby's feat in 1923. The Blue Jays head out west to face the Oakland Athletics for three and the Seattle Mariners for four games. RHP Marco Estrada will be activated off the Disabled List and start the opener against RHP Edwin Jackson.
Today's Starter: LHP Thomas Pannone
LHP Thomas Pannone will head to the mound for the fifth time this season for the Bisons and will be in search of his first Triple-A victory. The lefty gave up all six Louisville runs in his last start on July 25. Pannone has gone at least five innings in all of his starts for the Bisons this season.
Billy McKinney
OF Billy McKinney collected three hits between both games of the doubleheader on Sunday. The newly-acquired outfielder has four hits in nine at-bats (.444 AVG) with one walk in three games with the Herd. McKinney, who was chosen ten picks after now-teammate C Reese McGuire in the 2013 MLB Draft has been a part of three trades in his professional career (2014 OAK to CHI (NL), 2016 CHI (NL) to NYY, 2018 NYY to TOR).
