Albany Devils News Release

HERSHEY, Pa. - Despite goals from Brad Mills, Olivier Magnan and Adam Henrique, the Albany Devils fell to the Hershey Bears, 4-3, Saturday evening at the Giant Center. Boyd Kane paced the Bears with a pair of goals as Hershey improves to 37-19-1-3, which keeps them in second place in the East Division. The Devils go to 22-31-1-3.

Mills netted his goal - the first of the game - 5:39 into the first period. In a scramble in front, Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond and Jeff Prough both had cracks inside the crease before Mills found a hole for his ninth goal of the season. Leblond extended his scoring streak to three games, while Prough now has two points (1g-1a) in three games.

After three-straight goals by the Bears, Magnan netted his first goal of the season on a misstep by Hershey's goaltender Jared DeMichiel. With 4.3 seconds remaining, the Devils d-man flipped a puck towards the net. DeMichiel bobbled the puck and allowed it to slip past him. Darcy Zajac and Jay Leach earned the assist.

The game seemed to be heading to a 4-2 final, but Henrique produced the final score with his team-leading 18th goal of the season with 19 ticks remaining. Matt Anderson earned the first assist, while Steve Zalewski earned the second.

For Hershey, Boyd Kane scored his 20th goal of the season at 7:41 of the first to make it 1-1 and Francois Bouchard scored his ninth goal, which came on the power play, at 17:38 of the same period.

Steve Pinizzotto scored Hershey's second power-play goal with his 15th goal at 5:45 of the second.

Kane found the back of the net for the second time at 9:26 of the third to conclude the Bears' scoring.

Mike McKenna got the start for the Devils and made 31 saves on 35 shots. At the other end, DeMichiel had 27 stops on 30 shots.

The Devils conclude their three-in-three with a 4 p.m. contest against Norfolk at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall.
