GLENS FALLS, NY -The Sharks and the Phantoms combined for 76 shots on goal, but could only muster a single goal each, as Worcester dropped their second straight game via the shootout in a 2-1 loss Saturday night at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Jamie McGinn scored a power play goal and Daren Machesney grabbed 3rd star honors making 36 saves as the Sharks battled for a road point in the shootout loss.

Neither team would find the back of the net in the opening period as Daren Machesney made 11 saves for Worcester and Michael Leighton made eight saves for the Phantoms. The Phantoms went 0-for-3 on the power play in the first period while Benn Ferriero had a great chance shorthanded but could not convert.

In the middle frame, Greg Moore (7th) gave the Phantoms a 1-0 lead after he sent a knuckle puck towards the net and past Machesney at 1:59. Worcester would tie the game on the power play at 17:38. T.J. Trevelyan sent a terrific pass from the right wall to Jamie McGinn (5th) in the center slot. McGinn quickly redirected the puck past Leighton to light the lamp for the Sharks.
