Los Angeles FC News Release
LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) continues to be a Force for Good in the community, adding a Red Cross Blood Drive and a build with Habitat for Humanity to the club's holiday initiatives taking place in December in addition to the previously announced month-long LAFC Season of Giving presented by Target.
On Monday, Dec. 6 LAFC will team up with Habitat for Humanity and Sherwin Williams at Banc of California Stadium (Pepsi Plaza) to build and paint 40 planter boxes to be donated to families living in houses built by Habitat for Humanity.
On Dec. 7, LAFC and the American Red Cross host a blood drive from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Banc of California Stadium. Community members 16 years and older are invited to donate blood to provide lifesaving care to patients in need. Those interested in participating can register (Code: LAFC)
LAFC and Golden Boot Club Partner Target continue the 2021 LAFC Season of Giving with events and volunteer opportunities running throughout the month of December. From now through Dec. 8 supporters can participate in the club's Virtual Toy Drive and purchase items from a carefully curated Target 'wish list' registry for the children of Union Rescue Mission. The toy drive will be followed by a holiday gift wrapping volunteer event; all leading up to the Black & Gold Holiday Party on Dec. 14 at Union Rescue Mission's Hope Gardens Family Center.
Community members interested in volunteer opportunities during the LAFC 2021 Season of Giving presented by Target can register.
The LAFC Season of Giving Presented by Target began Tuesday, Nov 16 with a Thanksgiving Food Distribution at Banc of California Stadium where fans and staff came together to distribute more than 500 Thanksgiving meals complete with a fresh turkey and trimmings courtesy of Target, as well as a box of fresh produce vegetables courtesy of LAFC Partner Melissa's Produce and a box of shelf stable pantry items generously donated by the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
