FC Cincinnati News Release
The FC Cincinnati Academy had a busy weekend at Mercy Health Training Center against three St. Louis-based teams: St. Louis City SC, Lou Fusz Athletic and St. Louis Scott Gallagher. A total of 10 matches took place Saturday and Sunday, with the clubs donning the Orange and Blue going 5-4-1.
Here's a look at how each academy age group fared:
U13 | Saturday: FC Cincinnati Academy 3, Lou Fusz Athletic 2
Cole Spaulding netted two goals and Anson Senter's game-winner was the difference in a 3-2 win for the Orange and Blue.
U13 | Sunday: FC Cincinnati Academy 0, St. Louis Scott Gallagher 3
The U13 squad was shutout Sunday after playing a St. Louis Scott Gallagher squad which had not played the previous day.
U14 | Saturday: FC Cincinnati Academy 4, Lou Fusz Athletic 5
In a nine-goal shootout, Zeek Bautista scored a hat trick with three goals for the Orange and Blue and Rowan Arnold tallied the other goal. Lou Fusz Athletic took the win via a late penalty kick.
U14 | Sunday: FC Cincinnati Academy 1, St. Louis Scott Gallagher 5
Gage Walling netted the FCC Academy goal in the defeat.
U15 | FC Cincinnati Academy 3, St. Louis Scott Gallagher 0
Juan Piedra had a day, scoring a brace and assisting the third goal which was netted by Sam Weeter. Jack Madsen and Cooper Wiseman split the game in goal to keep a clean sheet.
U16 | Saturday: FC Cincinnati Academy 3, St. Louis City SC 1
Alen Kapic's PK goal opened scoring, and Daniel Martin scored a brace in the 3-1 win.
U16 | Sunday: FC Cincinnati Academy 5, St. Louis Scott Gallagher 1
The U16 squad followed up its win on Saturday with another win Sunday. Alen Kapic scored a brace to bring his weekend goal total to three, and Daniel Martin's goal also gave him three for the two-day stretch. Pablo Pujols and Tre Jeriver each scored in the rout.
U17 | Saturday: FC Cincinnati Academy 1, St. Louis City SC 1
Despite playing a man down for 60 minutes, the FC Cincinnati U17 squad earned a result in the 1-1 draw. Jio Gabriel-Mora scored the lone goal for FCC.
U17 | Sunday: FC Cincinnati Academy 0, St. Louis Scott Gallagher 2
After playing down a man for much of Saturday, the U17 squad suffered a 2-0 setback.
U19 | FC Cincinnati Academy 4, St. Louis Scott Gallagher 0
Dado Valenzuela opened up the scoring in the second minute and then added to the tally with an excellently executed free kick before halftime. Kai Thomas' header and Arnel Miscic's 89th minute goal contributed to the dominant win.

The Young Garys are back in action Sunday, Oct. 17 in the northern suburbs of Chicago to take on FC United Soccer Club in Glenview, Illinois.
