
Labatt All-Star Challenge Saturday At First Arena

ELMIRA, NY - Relive the memories of Elmira Jackals seasons gone by with some of your favorite Jackals from the past as they take on the Buffalo Sabres Alumni Association Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at First Arena in the Labatt All-Star Challenge.
Confirmed participants for the Jackals include Eddy Lowe, Carl Drakensjo, James Sheehan, Shawn Legualt, Ryan McIntosh, Jody Robinson and Mike Thompson. Also skating for the Jackals will be their first head coach, Todd Brost, Jackals general manager Robbie Nichols, Jackals team president Tamer Afr, WETM-18 meteorologist Scott Mayer and Glen Thomaris.
From the Sabres Alumni Association, confirmed players appearing in the Labatt Challenge include Rob Ray, Ric Seiling, Mark Laforest, Richie Dunn, Mike Bolland, Derek Smith, Darryl Shannon and Morris Titanic.
The weekend itinerary begins with an optional practice for the Elmira All-Stars Friday afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. at First Arena with the session open to the public. Friday night, fans are invited to a meet and greet with participating players beginning at 8 p.m. the Green Derby Restaurant, 113 West 2nd Street, Elmira.
Following the game Saturday, there will be a post-game party at Roundin' 3rd (formerly Z-Boni's), 255 Water Street, Elmira. The post-game party is open to the public.
Good seats still remain and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Gray Street box office at First Arena and by calling 734-PUCK (7825). Tickets are scaled at $22.00, $16.00, $11.00 and $10.00

The Elmira Jackals continue their four-game road trip with a visit to Reading tonight (6:35 p.m.). The trip ends with a pair of weekend tilts in Dayton Friday and Saturday against the Bombers (face-off 7 p.m. both nights). Follow the Jackals home and away on MAGIC FM (92.7/97.7) and www.jackalshockey.com thirty prior to face-off each night with the Hill Top Inn Countdown to Face-Off.
The Jackals next home games are Friday, January 11th, against the Johnstown Chiefs and Saturday, January 12th, versus the North Division-leading Cincinnati Cyclones.
