
Royals Sign Forwards Tom Boudreau and Peter Ferraro

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that organization has signed forwards Tom Boudreau ["BOO droe"] and Peter Ferraro ["fur AR oe"]. In separate transactions, the Royals also released defenseman Dan Hickman and forward Chris Bala.
This year, Boudreau (5'8"/159) (24), who hails from Oak Lawn, Illinois, has scored seventeen goals and assisted on twenty-nine others (forty-six points) in eighteen games with the Indiana (PA) Ice Miners of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League. Boudreau, who played his college hockey at Robert Morris University, played last season for Huddinge IK in Sweden. Ferraro (5'11/180) (23), who hails from Pleasantville, New York, and played his college hockey at Sacred Heart University, has played one game this season with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. Most recently, Ferraro has been playing with the Indiana Ice Miners, where he has registered ten goals and twenty-two assists (thirty-two points) in twenty games.
The Royals return to action tonight (Wednesday, January 2, 6:35 pm) when the Elmira Jackals visit the Sovereign Center. The Royals will celebrate our pride in Berks County and the Governor Mifflin High School football team. The game night broadcast on Friday will begin at 6:35 pm with the pre-game warm-up show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Ephrata, as well as on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. Streaming video is available on a pay per view basis through the B2 Networks.
