Beloit got hot against Clinton starter John Bannister (5-9; 5.10) who allowed seven runs, six earned, on a dozen hits and a walk. The Snappers sent Bannister offerings out of the yard three times.
Meanwhile, Clinton bats were relatively quiet, posting three runs on just five hits, including a homer and a double from third baseman Emerson Frostad (.274 / .360 / .458).
The 17-21 LumberKings move on to Quad Cities for a four game set before returning to Alliant Energy Field on August 6, when they will host Peoria.
