In the first game of a four set, the Snappers fell to the West Michigan 10-9 The Whitecaps jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first on a homerun by Jeff Frazier. The Snappers tied the game in the bottom of the second on a two run homerun by Johnny Woodard. West Michigan would then go on to take a four run lead after scoring three runs in the third and one in the fourth. Beloit closed in to make it a one run game after scoring one run in the fourth and two more runs in the fifth, as they trailed 6-5. West Michigan pushed the lead to five runs after scoring four in the seventh inning. Beloit managed to come back and make it a one run game by scoring three runs in the seventh, two of those runs coming from Woodard's second two-run homerun of the night and adding another run in the eighth to trail 10-9. West Michigan came away with 10-9 despite several comebacks by the Snappers.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers and Whitecaps will play game two in this four game series at Pohlman Field Wednesday, August 3 at 7:00 pm.
