(JACKSONVILLE, FL) -- The Charlotte Knights and Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp split a doubleheader on Friday night from 121 Financial Ballpark from Jacksonville, FL. The Knights won the first game by a score of 4-1 and dropped the second game to the Jumbo Shrimp by a score of 3-0. Jacksonville LHP Devin Smeltzer (5-8, 6.36) tossed a seven-inning no-hitter -- the first in Jumbo Shrimp history -- in game two of the doubleheader.

RHP José Ureña (2-4, 5.60) started game one for the Knights and tossed 5.2 strong innings. Ureña allowed just one run on five hits en route to his first win with the Knights. RHP Luke Farrell was also solid in his relief appearance. Farrell did not allow a run over the final 1.1 innings to earn his second save of the season.

Offensively, the Knights used the long ball to help win game one. In the top of the second inning, Chicago White Sox catcher Seby Zavala launched a solo home run -- his first during his MLB Rehab Assignment.

Two innings later, designated hitter Tyler Neslony launched his fifth home run of the season. Neslony went 2-for-4 on the night to help lead the Knights to the game one victory.

In game two, Smeltzer no-hit the Knights. The Jacksonville lefty walked three batters and fanned four en route to the win. Charlotte RHP Johan Domínguez (0-1, 4.30) started game two of the doubleheader and was charged with the loss. He allowed three runs on three hits over three innings. Three Charlotte relievers (Alex Mateo, Jordan Holloway and Nick Padilla) combined to hold the Jumbo Shrimp scoreless over the final three innings.

The Knights and Jumbo Shrimp will continue the six-game series on Saturday night from Jacksonville, FL. The Jumbo Shrimp lead the series three games to one. First pitch on Saturday is set for 6:35 p.m. from 121 Financial Ballpark.
