Kings Recall Jones; Berube Assigned to Manchester

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the primary affiliate of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled goaltender Martin Jones from the Monarchs and have assigned goaltender J.F. Berube to Manchester, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Jones, 24, has appeared in 13 games with the Kings this season (his first in the National Hockey League), posting an 8-4-0 record, with a 1.71 goals-against-average, .940 save percentage and three shutouts. Jones has also played in 22 games with Manchester this season, posting a 16-3-3 record with a 2.13 goals-against-average, .928 save percentage and two shutouts.

Berube, 22, has appeared in 34 games with Manchester this season, posting a 19-13-2 record with a 2.43 goals-against-average, .914 save percentage and one shutout. The netminder set a franchise record for consecutive appearances by a goaltender with 20 games on December 29. His current record-setting streak sits at 24 consecutive games. Berube is ranked sixth in the American Hockey League with 2001:04 minutes played, tied for sixth with 19 wins, and 13th with 859 saves this season.
