Springfield Falcons News Release
Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons, AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, will hold the annual Pink in the Rink Night Saturday, March 1 at 7:00 p.m. when the team hosts the Providence Bruins at the MassMutual Center. The promotional night is presented by Noble Hospital in Westfield, Massachusetts.
"Pink in the Rink has become a national event throughout the American Hockey League, and we're extremely proud to support the fight against breast cancer," Falcons Vice President of Business Development Chris Thompson said. "We value our partnership with Noble Hospital and look forward to growing it in the future."
As part of the effort to raise awareness and funds in support of breast cancer research, the Falcons will wear specialty jerseys to be auctioned off on the team's eBay page following the game.
The team will also recognize survivors in attendance on the ice before the game begins. Fans interested in participating must check in by 6:30 p.m. at the F.L. Roberts Fan Relations table, located on the concourse behind section 29.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink to Saturday's game. Limited-edition pink Falcons t-shirts will be on sale at the merchandise table during the game and will only be available while supplies last.
The mission of Noble Hospital is to improve the health of its patients through innovative care in a personalized environment that exceeds the expectation of the community. The Noble Hospital Center for Comprehensive Breast Health strives for personal care with the most advanced technology being offered in Western Massachusetts.
Fans are invited to the MassMutual Center in 2013-14 to watch the reigning Northeast Division-champion Falcons compete in their 20th anniversary season. Adult season-ticket packages start as low as $13 per game.
