Kelvin Gutierrez Named 2015 New York-Penn League All-Star

AUBURN, NY - The Auburn Doubledays, Single-A Short Season Affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are excited to announce third baseman Kelvin Gutierrez has been named to the 2015 New York-Penn League All-Star Team.
Kelvin Gutierrez has enjoyed a successful first year with the Doubledays playing in a team high 38 games. He has played third, short, and designated hitter for Auburn, but is primarily a third baseman. Gutierrez leads the Doubledays with a .273 average while also hitting one homer and knocking in 11 runs. He also leads the team with 21 runs scored.
Gutierrez will play on the Northern Team in the All-Star Game along with members of the Batavia Muckdogs, Connecticut Tigers, Hudson Valley Renegades, Lowell Spinners, Tri-City ValleyCats, and Vermont Lake Monsters.
The All-Star Game is August 18th at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland at the home of the Aberdeen Ironbirds.
