Wednesday morning will be the first of three meetings between the K-Wings and the Nailers. This will be Wheeling's only visit to Wings Stadium. The Nailers start the week tied for second place in the Atlantic Division with the Elmira Jackals with a record of 2-3-0-0 (4 points)

Cincinnati is the only undefeated team remaining in the ECHL. With a record of 6-0-0-0 (12 points), the Cyclones, who will conclude a five-game road swing on Friday, are just two victories shy of tying the 1994-95 Dayton Bombers and the 2001-02 Trenton Titans for the best to a season in ECHL history. This will be the second of 11 meetings between the teams. Kalamazoo is 0-0-0-1 versus Cincinnati, with the K-Wings dropping their first encounter 5-4 in shootout last Sunday. Cincinnati starts the week in first place in the North Division.

Saturday, November 3rd Vs Cincinnati Cyclones (Cincinnati 5-Kalamazoo 4-Shootout )

Kalamazoo, MI- Yanni Gourde scored with 1:36 left in regulation to force overtime, but the Kalamazoo Wings (1-3-0-1) couldn't complete the comeback. The Cincinnati Cyclones (6-0-0-0) outscored the K-Wings 2-1 in the shootout to remain perfect on the season with a 5-4 victory Sunday afternoon. Read More

The K-Wings have done an outstanding job in limiting the scoring opportunities of their opponents. Kalamazoo ranks fifth in the Eastern Conference and ninth overall in the league allowing an average of 28.2 shots a game.

Defenseman Elgin Reid is closing in on a personal milestone. Reid's next assist will be his 100th of his career.

Trouble in the Middle

Five games into the season, the K-Wings worst scoring differential period has been the second. Kalamazoo has been outscored 8-3 in the middle stanza.

The Obscure Stat of the Week

Kalamazoo will head back to school on Wednesday when they play Wheeling on Education Day. All-time, Kalamazoo is 11-7-1-1 in morning games, including 7-7-0-1 at Wings Stadium.
