The Road Warriors faced a three game road trip this past weekend with games against the Reading Royals, the Elmira Jackals, and the Wheeling Nailers.

On Wednesday, October 30th the Road Warriors faced off against the Reading Royals at the Santander Arena. Jordie Johnston put Greenville on the board late in the second period and went on to score his second goal of the game late in the third. Brandon Hynes scored his first professional goal in the third to help propel the Warrior to a 3-1 victory against the defending ECHL champions.

On Friday, November 1st the Road Warriors traveled to First Arena to play the Elmira Jackals. Appearing in his first ECHL game, Jeff Malcolm was in goal for the Road Warriors and faced 33 shots. Despite his best effort in the net the Road Warriors fell to the Jackals 3-0.

On Saturday, November 2nd the Road Warriors played their final game of the road trip. The team faced the Wheeling Nailers at the WesBanco Arena. The Road Warriors took the lead late in the first with goals from Jordie Johnston and Andrew Carroll. Early in the second, new signee Brett Perlini scored his first goal and increased the lead to 3-1. Wheeling staged a comeback in the third scoring four unanswered goals. Connor Knapp turned away 41 of 45 shots but took the loss.

Week Ahead

The Road Warriors will face the South Carolina Stingrays and the Gwinnett Gladiators at home this week on Thursday and Friday, respectively. The team will travel to Gwinnett on Saturday to take on the Gladiators at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

On Thursday, November 7th, the Road Warriors take on the South Carolina Stingrays at the Bons Secours Wellness Arena at 7:00 p.m. The Road Warriors look for redemption after dropping back-to-back games against the Stingrays, including a 2-1 loss on the Warriors' Home Opener. Thursday is also Throwback Thursday, presented by New Rock 93.3 The Planet and Rock 101. Fans can enjoy $2 beers, hot dogs, sodas, and pretzels. Also, any fan who presents their BI-LO Bonus Card receives a buy-one get one free ticket while supplies last! In addition, any student who presents their student ID receives $5 in the Green section while supplies last.

On Friday, November 8th, the Road Warriors will face the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7 p.m. at the Bons Secours Wellness Arena. The Road Warriors are 2-0 against the Gladiators this season with both victories coming on the road. The Warriors Fun Pack is available on Friday for just $48! Included in the pack is four Red level tickets, four hot dogs, four bags of chips, four fountain drinks, and two Road Warriors hats.

On Saturday, November 9th, the Road Warriors will travel to the Arena at Gwinnett Center to face off against the Gladiators at 7 p.m. The game can be heard by clicking the listen live link on the Road Warriors' home page or by watching on America One.

Streaks and Stats

Connor Knapp ranks 6th in the ECHL with a .942 save percentage.

Greenville's penalty killing ranks seventh in the ECHL.

Jordie Johnston leads the team in penalty minutes with 14 PIM.

Sean Berkstresser played his 200th game on October 30th against the Reading Royals.

Transactions

The Road Warriors began the week with the reassignments of Andrew Rowe, Jeff Malcolm and Michael Kantor from the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Greenville signed Brett Perlini on Wednesday. He played 39 games last season with the Bakersfield Condors and notched seven goals and 13 assists. He registered 2 points in his first game with the Road Warriors scoring 1 goal and 1 assist.

Carsen Chubak was recalled to Adirondack.

On Friday, Alex Lepkowski was loaned from Buffalo and Andrew Rowe was recalled to the Hartford Wolf Pack after one game with the Road Warriors.
