Josh McFadden Recalled by San Antonio

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that defenseman Josh McFadden has been recalled by the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

McFadden, a 22-year-old, suited up in one game for San Antonio after being recalled on January 16. The blue-liner has played in 37 games for the Cyclones this season and has recorded six goals and three assists in that span. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound defenseman appeared in nine AHL games last season during his rookie campaign, but was held off the score sheet. McFadden spent the majority of his rookie year with Cincinnati, recording two goals and 12 assists in 28 games.

Prior to turning pro, the Guelph, Ontario native played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, totaling 222 games and 150 points (39 goals, 111 assists). During the 2010-11 season, McFadden led the Sudbury Wolves in scoring and was third in the league among defenseman with 19 goals and 53 assists in 67 games.

Cincinnati will wrap up their weekend swing through the South Division on Monday night against the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:00pm. Fans can hear all the action of the game on the Cyclones Radio Network (CyclonesHockey.com, America One, Cyclones Mobile App) beginning at 6:30pm.
