Jets Recall Zach Redmond from IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have recalled defenceman Zach Redmond from the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Redmond, 25, has played in 17 games with the IceCaps so far this season. In that time, the right-handed defenceman has recorded 13 points (5G, 8A) and 14 penalty minutes. The Traverse City, MI native has played in 11 career NHL games, all with the Jets, for four career NHL points (1G, 3A) and 12 career penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 184th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
