James Sixsmith To Rejoin Grizzlies From AHL

Boise, Idaho - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that forward James Sixsmith will rejoin the team from the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

The Sound Tigers are the AHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders.

Sixsmith will meet the Grizzlies in Stockton for games Friday and Saturday. Utah is back in action tonight in Boise at 7:10 p.m.

Prior to his promotion on November 16, Sixsmith had tallied seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points in 12 games with Utah and led the ECHL with a plus-13. He was also fifth overall in scoring in the league. The Virginia native appeared in 22 games with the Sound Tigers totaling two goals, four assists and nine penalty minutes.

This is Sixsmith's second season in Utah after splitting 2008-2009 between the Grizzlies and the Sound Tigers as well as the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals. Last year in 31 Utah games, he had 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points.
