Goaltender Barry Brust Loaned to Florida; Forward Harrison Reed Assigned

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush in coordination with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that goaltender Barry Brust has been loaned by the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League and forward Harrison Reed has been assigned by Everblades AHL affiliate Albany.

Barry Brust returns to Florida after spending nearly a month in Houston. In his return to the Aeros on December 20, Brust appeared in three games posting a 2-1-0 mark with a 2.43 goals against average and .904 save percentage. He has appeared in ten games with Florida this season and posted a 4-2-2 record with a 2.69 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.

The Swan River Manitoba native returns to Reading where he started his professional career. Originally signed by the Los Angeles Kings, the six-year pro spent his first three years in the Kings system. Brust ultimately suited up for the Kings in 2006-07 for 11 games. He went 2-4-1 with a 3.70 goals against and 88% save percentage.

Harrison Reed, currently under contract with the Carolina Hurricanes, has been assigned for his second stint with the Florida Everblades. Reed earned Sherwood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for the week of November 23-29, in which he scored seven goals and four assists in four games. In eight games with Florida the Newmarket Ontario native has eight goals and 13 points. In 29 games with the River Rats this season, he has two assists and six penalty minutes.

The Florida Everblades continue their season high, 11-game road trip tonight in Reading, Pennsylvania. It's the fifth and final meeting of the season between Florida and Reading. The puck drops tonight at 7:05 p.m. in Reading's Sovereign Center. Florida finishes off their road trip this Friday and Saturday in Trenton against the Devils on Friday and Saturday night.
