Utah Grizzlies News Release

Boise, Idaho - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Kyle Radke and Matt Sorteberg from Idaho in exchange for Dustin Friesen.

The Grizzlies and Steelheads face-off tonight at 7:10 p.m., however none of the players in the trade will be dressing for their new teams.

"We wanted to get a little deeper on the backend and we are excited to add two solid defensemen in Matt and Kyle," said Colley. "It's a hard day to say goodbye to Dustin, but at the end, we had to do what's best for our hockey club as a whole."

Sorteberg, a rookie, has a plus-seven on the year while adding one goal and one assist in 20 games.

Radke, is in his second year as a pro, after totaling 155 penalty minutes and five points (one goal, four assists) in 54 games last year for Idaho. Prior to Boise, Radke appeared in four-straight Frozen Fours for the University of North Dakota. This year, Radke had one assist and 34 penalty minutes with Idaho.

The two players will make their Utah debuts Friday and Saturday in Stockton.
