Stefano Giliati Assigned To Reading

Reading Royals News Release


Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Stefano Giliati ["JILL ee AH tee"] has been assigned to the Royals from the Marlies. In a separate transaction previously completed, forward Danick Bouchard has been suspended by the Royals' organization.

This marks the second trip to Reading for Giliati, who started the season with the Royals and was recalled to Toronto on December 19, 2009. A second year pro from Montreal, Quebec, Giliati has scored ten goals, assisted on twelve others and picked up twenty five penalty minutes in twenty-five games with Reading. In eleven games with the Marlies, Giliati has scored two goals and assisted on three others (five points). Bouchard, a second year pro from Quebec City, Quebec, had scored nine goals and picked up eleven assists (twenty points) in thirty-six games with the Royals. He informed the organization that he intended to pursue school, employment, and hockey options in Quebec.

Giliati is expected to be in the Royals lineup tonight (Wednesday, January 13 @ 7:05 pm) when the Royals face the Florida Everblades. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show at 4:35 pm.
