Jackals trim roster, McLean dealt to Florida

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that left wing Mike McLean has been traded to the Florida Everblades in exchange for future considerations.

McLean had appeared in just six game with the Jackals in his rookie season with two assists and two penalty minutes. The first-year pro completed his junior career last season with Oshawa and Guelph and made his professional debut with Kalamazoo of the United Hockey League during the Colonial Cup playoffs. He finished with two goals and seven points in 15 contests with the Wings.

During his junior career in the Ontario Hockey League, McLean posted 106 points (46+60) in 239 games.

McLean is expected to join the Everblades for their home game against the Alaska Aces Friday night at Germain Arena.

The Jackals look to extend their season-high seven-game winning streak tonight in Cincinnati, OH, against the Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. at the U.S.Bank Arena that will conclude a 13-game in 20-day stretch. Tonight's game can be heard live on MAGIC FM (92.7/97.7) beginning at 7 p.m. with the Hill Top Inn Countdown to Face-Off.

The Jackals are then off until Wednesday, December 5th, when they host the Trenton Devils at First Arena in a 7:05 p.m. face-off.
