Chiefs And Monsters Swap Players

Johnstown, PA - Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Ian Herbers announced today that forward Rob Drummond has been recalled to the AHL Lake Erie Monsters. In a related move, the Monsters have assigned forward Kenny Roche to the Chiefs.

Drummond, 21, has played in 15 games for the Chiefs this season, scoring 7 goals and 11 points. This is the London, Ontario native's first recall to the AHL.

Roche, 23, has played in 11 games for the Monsters this season, scoring 1 goal and 4 points. The South Boston, MA native played the last four seasons at Boston University. In 154 games with B.U., Roche had 43 goals and 89 points.

Drummond joins Ryan Garlock (Binghamton), Mike Knight (Binghamton), Nathan Saunders (Providence), Ryan Nie (Providence), and Mike Brown (Providence) in the AHL.

The Chiefs are back on home ice Friday and Saturday night this week. Friday night they face the Wheeling Nailers. It is Ameriserv Financial Customer Appreciation Night. Saturday, the Chiefs will take on north division leader Cincinnati Cyclones. The game is the annual Toys for Tots Toss Toss, sponsored by COOL 101.7 and the U.S. Marine Corps. All fans are invited to bring a stuffed toy to the game. When the Chiefs score their first goal of the evening fans are invited to throw the toys onto the ice for collection. Both games this weekend are at 7:05 p.m.
