
Indy's Press Named CCM/ECHL Player of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Indy Fuel defenseman Robin Press has been named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for February. He is the first defenseman to receive the monthly honor since Columbia's Chris St. Croix in February 2003.
Press scored five goals, added 11 assists and was a +7 in 14 games during February, helping the Fuel to an 8-6-0 record in the month.
The 23-year-old tallied at least one point in 12 games, and had three multi-point games including a three-point effort (3a) in a 4-3 loss to Toledo on Feb. 27. He ended the month on a nine-game point streak, over which he has posted 13 points (4g-9a).
Selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the seventh round (211th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Press has 30 points (9g-21a) in 36 games with the Fuel this season while also seeing action in seven games with Rockford of the American Hockey League.
A native of Uppsala, Sweden, Press has recorded 40 points (11g-29a) in 66 career games with Indy. In addition to suiting up in 18 career games with Rockford, he also has played in 62 career games with Djurgardens IF of the Swedish Elite League.
