Iginla Among 66 Players Invited to U-17 Hockey Challenge

KENT - The Seattle Thunderbirds have announced center Tij Iginla has been selected to represent Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
The event is set to take place November 3-12, 2022, at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, British Columbia. Iginla will play for Canada Red during the tournament.
"As an organization we are very proud of Tij," says General Manager, Bil La Forge. "He has shown that he is a player of tremendous potential, and we look forward to watching him against high level peers at this tournament."
Iginla was drafted by the Seattle Thunderbirds round 1, ninth overall in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft and signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement in December of 2021.
The Thunderbirds take on the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday, October 22 at 6:05pm. Tickets are available at tickets.seattlethunderbirds.com.
