NEWS & NOTES:
West Coast Blues: The Wheat Kings are coming off their second straight loss at the hands of the heavyweight Kamloops Blazers Tuesday evening putting them at 3-2 during the Western Road Trip. The Wheat Kings are still licking their wounds after forward Ben Thornton suffered an injury that put him in the hospital and forward Brett Hyland suspended for 3 games after a collision last Friday in Vancouver. Tonight they take on a Kelowna Rockets squad that also has their fare share of injuries, their Captain Colton Dach is out with an upper body injury, just a week after he returned from Blackhawks training camp. The Rockets historically have had their way with the Wheat Kings winning their last two games. The last time the Wheat Kings were in Kelowna, it was a 5-4 win for the Rockets in front of 5200 fans Saturday November 3rd, 2018.
Battle of the Top Prospects: Tonight will be a showcase of Top WHL Prospects. Forward Nate Danielson and Goaltender Carson Bjarnason will go head to head with Rockets Forward Andrew Cristall & Blue Liner Caden Price. The 4 could hear their names called in the first round of the NHL Draft this Spring.
