
Idaho Takes It to Utah 7-3

Boise, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Utah Grizzlies 7-3 Wednesday night in Boise.
Utah was back on their heels from the first Idaho shot of the game taken 1:38 into the first period that gave the Steelheads a 1-0 lead. The Grizzlies took less than five minutes to tie the contest at one as Berkley Scott scored his second goal in three games as he went hard to the net.
Idaho made it 2-1 going to the first intermission and made it 3-1 22 seconds into the second period with a power-play goal. Kory Falite answered 33 seconds later for Utah with his ninth goal of the year; as he battled to hold a puck in then streaked towards the net where Scott set him up this time. The Steelheads though made it 4-2 25 seconds later with another power-play goal 1:20 into the second period.
With a 5-2 deficit late in the second period, Utah made it 5-3 as James Martin scored his first of the year with Nick Tuzzolino and Mitch Wahl collecting assists on the power-play goal.
The Steelheads added two goals in the first 5:40 of the third period to make it 7-3 and that would be the final.
Shane Owen was in goal for Utah on the evening as goaltender Andrew Engelage was unable to start due to injury.
Utah completes their seven-game road trip Friday from Idaho. Face-off is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
The Grizzlies are back home Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. to host Idaho.
