Scoran Added to Roster
February 7, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL)
Idaho Steelheads News Release
Boise, ID (2/7/13) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Thursday that defenseman Kory Scoran has been added to the roster for the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads.
Scoran, 31, has played 237 games for the Idaho Steelheads since turning pro out of Lake Superior State in 2006. He was voted by his teammates as the team's Co-Defensive Player of the Year last season despite appearing in just 37 games for the Steelheads.
Ralph said it is unlikely that Scoran will play this weekend when Idaho hosts Utah on Friday night and then travels to Utah for games on Saturday and Sunday. The team plays a pair of mid-week home games next week against San Francisco, February 12 and 13, at CenturyLink Arena in Boise.
Scoran's addition puts seven defensemen on the Idaho roster - Scoran, Matt Case, Jace Coyle, Scott Todd, James Isaacs, William LaCasse and Ken Trentowski. Defenseman John Ryder is on the Reserve List as he rehabilitates an injury.
