SF Bulls Wrangled by Las Vegas, 5-0

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls (17-23-1-5) were not able to wrangle any love, and were defeated by the Las Vegas Wranglers 5-0, Wednesday night at the Cow Palace. Andrew Sarauer scored three goals, and Jody O'Neill picked up the shutout to extend the Wranglers' winning streak to five games. San Francisco remains in eighth place in the Western Conference.

Las Vegas scored two quick goals in the first period to take a 2-0 lead. Josh Lunden scored on a deflection in front of the San Francisco goal after an initial shot by Charlie Cook at 6:58. Channing Boe also picked up an assist on Lunden's seventh goal of the season. Then the Wranglers struck for a shorthanded goal at 8:47 to double their lead. Sarauer broke away, and scored his 14th goal of the season.

The Wranglers doubled their lead to 4-0 at the end of the second period. Sarauer scored his 15th and 16th goals of the season to complete his hat trick. Sarauer's 15th goal of the season was scored at 8:58 after a beautiful pass from Sean Wiles. The hat-trick goal was assisted by Adam Hugesman and Nolan Julseth-White with 2:24 remaining in the period. With the score at 4-0, Thomas Heemskerk made his return to action replacing Taylor Nelson in goal.

In the third period, Las Vegas pushed the score to 5-0 on a goal by Matt Campanale. Scott Pitt picked up the only assist on Campanale's second goal of the season scored at 9:58.
