Last Weeks Highlights:

2/1/06 > Long Beach 1 vs. Alaska 3

The Ice Dogs lost in regulation for the first time in ten games Wednesday night, falling to the top team in the ECHL, the Alaska Aces. They were going for their fifth win in a row, but fell short getting their only goal from Sean McAslan. Christian Larrivee and Steeve Villeneuve assisted on the goal. The final score of the night was an empty netter by Alaska, as Jaroslav Halak made 23 saves in the game despite the loss. The Ice Dogs and Aces both went 1-6 on the power play.

2/3/06 > Long Beach 5 vs. Las Vegas 3

The Ice Dogs got back on the winning track Friday night with a stellar performance from Sean McAslan, who scored four goals and one assist to lead the Ice Dogs to victory. It was the first four goal performance by an Ice Dogs player in nearly two years. Justin Aikins also contributed with four assists on the night. Greg Hewitt earned the win, stopping 36 Las Vegas shots. Long Beach finished 2-4 on the power play while holding the Wranglers to 1-5. It was the first time this season the Ice Dogs defeated the Wranglers.

2/4/06 > Long Beach 3 vs. San Diego 2

The Ice Dogs won their second in a row Saturday night, defeating the San Diego Gulls in a close 3-2 game. Sean McAslan scored in his fourth consecutive game and Blake Robson got his first of the season. Mike Woodford also scored for Long Beach. Greg Hewitt got the win with 29 saves and the Ice Dogs went 1-6 on the power play. San Diego was held scoreless on six power play opportunities.

2/8/06 > Long Beach @ Victoria

The Ice Dogs travel to Victoria to face the Salmon Kings in the first of a three game series Wednesday night. The Ice Dogs, who are 12-0-0 lifetime against Victoria, will be going for their franchise record seventh consecutive road victory.

2/10/06 > Long Beach @ Victoria

Friday night will be the second game of the three game series with the Salmon Kings in Victoria.

2/11/06 > Long Beach @ Victoria

Saturday night the Ice Dogs and Salmon Kings will face-off yet again for the third and final game of their three game series.

OVERALL RECORD: 24-16-5
