INFERNO COACH'S SHOW: Wednesday, February 8th at 7pm. Goaltender Jani Hurme and forward Leon Hayward will be our special player guests. Come join us live at The Tap Room, located on Bower Parkway off of Harbison Blvd. The Tap Room is located right next door to the Columbiana Grand Movie Theatre. The Tap Room is home to 50 different beers on tap including root beer. Enjoy their great menu of dinner items, including their Texas Tumbleweed Rolls, Ahi Tuna, Brew Pub Style Roast Beef Sandwich and the Spinach and Portabella Mushroom Sandwich. You can also listen on ESPN 93.1FM from 7pm - 8pm.

THE WEEK AHEAD Monday, February 6th Inferno vs. Greenville Grrrowl 7:05pm Carolina Coliseum

Columbia is 3-2-0 this season and 26-9-3 all-time against the Grrrowl. This is the sixth of 10 meetings between the Inferno and Greenville. The Grrrowl is in third place in the South Division with 52 points (25-14-2).

Tuesday, February 7th Inferno @ Charlotte Checkers 7:05pm Bobcat Arena

Charlotte is in fourth place in the South Division with 48 points (22-20-4). The Inferno is 4-2-1 this season against the Checkers. There are only three games left between the Inferno and Checkers this season.

Friday, February 10th Inferno vs. Gwinnett Gladiators 7:05pm Carolina Coliseum

This is the eighth game out of nine between the Inferno and Gwinnett. The Inferno is 1-6-0 this season and 8-10-1 all-time against the Gladiators. Gwinnett is in first place in the South Division with 65 points (30-9-5).

Saturday, February 11th Inferno @ Greenville Grrrowl 7:05pm Bi-Lo Center

This is the seventh game of the season and second game this week between the Grrrowl and Inferno.

Sunday, February 12th Inferno vs. South Carolina Stingrays 5:05pm Carolina Coliseum

The Inferno is 1-4-0 this season and 20-14-3 all-time. This is the sixth of 10 games against the Stingrays. South Carolina is in fifth place in the South Division with 46 points (18-15-10).

LAST WEEK Friday, February 3rd INFERNO 3 Greenville 1

The Columbia Inferno came out ready to play as they beat the Greenville Grrrowl 3-1. Leon Hayward got things started only 2:12 into the game as he picked up a rebound in front of the net and beat goaltender Jeff Deslauriers glove side to give the Inferno a 1-0 lead. The Grrrowl tied the game only moments later at 5:37 with a power play goal by Jason Jozsa. Columbia took the lead at 13:32 with a textbook give-and-go between F.P. Guenette and Marc-Andre Bernier as Guenette nets his eighth goal of the season. The Inferno continued their solid play throughout the second period as they outshot the Grrrowl 9-5 in a scoreless period. Columbia increased their lead at 9:37 of the third period with a goal by Dallas Flaman as he picked up a rebound from a Bernier shot on net. Jani Hurme recorded his second win between the pipes as he stopped 35 of 36 shots on goal.

Saturday, February 4th INFERNO 6 Charlotte 2

Columbia traveled to play Charlotte on Saturday night as they beat the Checkers 6-2. Mike Stathopoulos recorded the team's first hat trick of the season and added one assist. Derek Campbell, Leon Hayward and Marc-Andre Bernier each had one goal. Jeff Smith contributed three assists on the night as Brandon Nolan and F.P. Guenette each had two. Gary Gladue finished the night off at +4. Jani Hurme won his third game of the season stopping 33 of 35 shots on goal.

Overall Record: 16-25-5 Position: Tied 7th place (37 points)
