Seeing Double... The Hot Rods wrapped a three-game series against Fort Wayne with a Sunday doubleheader. In the seven-inning nightcap, Bowling Green took a 2-1 lead into the top of the seventh, thanks to strong pitching from Shane McClanahan and Nick Padilla. However, Fort Wayne tied the game with a two-out solo homer in the top of the seventh to send the game to extras. After the TinCaps scored again in the eighth, Michael Smith brought home Jake Palomaki with a safety squeeze to tie the score, then with the bases loaded and one out, Kaleo Johnson sent everyone home with a walk-off single to left that scored Bryce Brown, giving the Hot Rods a 4-3 victory and with it, their first series victory of the season.
