Ostberg then singled with one out, moving Gregorio to third, and Ostberg advanced to second when the throw from left fielder Jonathan Engelmann sailed wide of third baseman Makesiondon Kelkboom. Witherspoon grounded out to second to score Gregorio and Betts drilled a two-run homer to right that gave the Hot Rods a 9-0 lead. An RBI double by Gregorio against lefty reliever Jake Miednik brought home Tony Pena in the eighth to cap the scoring.
