Bowling Green Hot Rods News Release
Bowling Green, KY - With a month to go before the team's first-ever championship run, the Bowling Green Hot Rods, First-Half Midwest League Eastern Division Champions, announced new offers to the postseason menu for fans. In addition to Playoff Strips, the Hot Rods will begin single-game ticket sales to all potential playoff games on Thursday, August 4 at 10 AM. This will give fans the opportunity to pack Bowling Green Ballpark for the postseason home opener on September 8, a must-see event that will now feature postgame fireworks to celebrate an historic night in South Central Kentucky.
"This is an exciting time for our fans, the team, and our staff," said Hot Rods President Brad Taylor. "Fans are ready for playoff baseball in Bowling Green and we have seen it first-hand with the tremendous response to Hot Rods Playoff Strips. With single-game ticket sales beginning and the addition of postgame fireworks to our first playoff game on September 8, the excitement is building for a can't-miss night at Bowling Green Ballpark."
Playoff Strips, moving quickly since the team clinched a playoff spot on June 17, offer fans the best value for the upcoming title run. Strips include a ticket to all six potential home playoff games, including the September 8 showcase. Fans who purchase a Playoff Strip will receive priority seating selection as well as a limited edition Hot Rods Road to the Playoffs T-Shirt. Playoff Strips are available for $60 per seat with tickets from unplayed games being credited to a deposit on 2012 ticket packages.
Individual ticket sales begin at 10 AM on Thursday morning. All playoff box seats will remain just $10, the same price as a box seat during the regular season. Tickets will be available on Thursday via the Hot Rods website, www.bghotrods.com, by visiting the Ticket Office at the ballpark, or by calling 270.901.2121.
As the First Half Eastern Division Champion, the Hot Rods will host Game 2 of the opening round series at 6:35 PM on Thursday, September 8. After the game, fans can continue the party with a special edition of playoff fireworks. Game 3 of the series, if necessary, will be played at 7:05 PM on Friday, September 9 at Bowling Green Ballpark.
