Hitmen Fall to Tiger 4-3

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen played the first of two home games this weekend as they welcomed the Medicine Hat Tigers to Scotiabank Saddledome tonight.

Despite a second period three goal comeback, Medicine Hat would skate to a 4-3 victory over the home team.

The scoring was kicked off by Dru Krebs at the beginning of the first period. Goals weren't seen again until the start of the second period with Andrew Basha and Reid Andresen finding the back of the net to put Medicine Hat up by three goals.

Carson Wetsch had a response, triggering the comeback less than five minutes later, with helpers from Trey Patterson and Dax Williams. The assist would make it William's first WHL point. The goal was followed up by David Adaszynski for his third of the season. Brandon Whynott tied the game at 11:31 with assists from Wetsch and Matteo Danis.

The game remained tied down to the last minutes in the third. With overtime on the horizon, Calgary ended up in the box, allowing for Brendan Lee to put the game away on the power play with less than two minutes to go.

Carson Wetsch earned second star of the game, finishing the night with a goal and an assist.

Calgary is back on 'Dome ice on Sunday, Dec. 4 to host the Moose Jaw Warriors in the ENMAX Teddy Bear Toss. Game time is 2:00 p.m. with fans asked to bring a new or gently used stuffed toy to the game to toss on the ice when the Hitmen score their first goal. Admission is $25.99 for adults and $15.99 for kids.
