Medicine Hat, AB - With over 2600 in attendance saw plenty of opportunities to make the fur fly at Co-op Place Saturday night, but the Saskatoon Blades made Medicine Hat Tigers fans wait till the third period ultimately taking their third straight game from the Tigers 2-1.

In the opening frame despite a great start by the home side, it would be Vaughn Watterodt squeezing a shot past Tigers goaltender Beckett Langkow (Vegreville, AB) at 1:57 into the game giving the Blades a 1-0 lead. Medicine Hat would see Oasiz Wiesblatt (Calgary, AB) and Tomas Mrsic (Surrey, AB) both had chances shortly after including a goal post hit by Mrsic but Saskatoon goaltender Austin Elliott would stand tall making 14 saves in the period.

Off to the second period and fans once again saw Mrsic hit the crossbar and a bounty of chances would follow for the Tigers but they still could not turn the red light on again as Elliott would continue to give Medicine Hat fits making another 10 saves in the period.

Into the third period where time became the enemy for the Tigers as early on in the third on third power play of the night Jayden Wiens would re-direct his 9th of the season to give the Blades some much needed insurance at 2-0 at 5:36.

Medicine Hat would pull the goaltender but couldn't find the equalizer and the Blades would sneak away with the 2-1 win.
