NEWS & NOTES:

Last Game:. The Wheat Kings picked up a big 5-4 win over the Prince Albert Raiders Friday night. It was a game with a lot of firsts. The Wheat Kings were able to score 5 or more goals in a game for the first time this year, blue liner Luke Shipley was able to score his 1st goal as a Wheat King and Head Coach Marty Murray earned his first win as a WHL Head Coach.

Dec 3rd VS Swift Current: The Wheat Kings host the Swift Current Broncos for the second time this year. It will be the first time in Brandon. Last time these two clubs met was a 4-2 win for the Swift Current Broncos who took advantage of a beaten up Wheat Kings roster. Forward Brett Hyland was forced to leave the game after suffering a knee on knee hit and ran into a hot goaltender in Gage Alexander. This time around the Broncos are coming off a stellar win in Winnipeg and seem to show zero signs of slowing down.

100 point milestone: Forward Nate Danielson picked up his 100th WHL point Friday scoring his 40th career WHL goal on the powerplay.
