
Hamilton Hosts Philadelphia and Lake Erie

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will compete four times this week. Hamilton will start with two hometown tilts, the first on Tuesday January 6th at 7:30 p.m. against the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers), followed by a match-up against the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) on Friday January 9th at 7:30 p.m. The 'Dogs will then hit the road to face the Monsters for a second time this week at Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday January 10th at 7:30 p.m. Finally, the Bulldogs will be travelling to Rochester for a battle against the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) at Blue Cross Arena Sunday January 11th at 6:05 p.m.
Last week, Hamilton went 2-1-0-0 bringing their record to 21-12-2-0. To begin their week of hometown match-ups the Dogs hosted their archrivals the Toronto Marlies on Tuesday December 30th and earned a 4-0 shutout win. Kicking off the New Year Hamilton scored a 4-3 victory against the Syracuse Crunch on Friday January 2nd. Wrapping up the week on Saturday January 3rd the Bulldogs suffered a close defeat to the Iowa Chops in a 3-2 loss.

- Montreal LW Max Pacioretty picked up one point last week, scoring his first goal of his NHL career and the only goal for Montreal in a 4-1 loss to New Jersey (Jan. 2)
- Montreal LW Andrei Kostitsyn scored three points this week with an assist in a 5-2 victory over Florida (Dec. 29), and two goals in a 6-5 shoot out win against Florida (Jan. 4)
- Dallas C Mike Ribeiro picked up two points this past week with an assist in a 4-2 win over New Jersey
(Dec. 31), and a goal in a 3-2 shoot out win against Vancouver (Jan. 4)
