Canucks Assign Hansen To Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have assigned forward Jannik Hansen to the Moose.

Hansen, 22, has played in 37 games so far this season with the Canucks. In that time, he has scored 17 points (3-14-17) and 27 penalty minutes. In three seasons with Vancovuer, the Harlev, Denmark native has scored 17 regular season points in 42 career regular season games along with 29 penalty minutes. In 10 Stanley Cup playoff games in Vancouver, Hansen has one assist.

Hansen has played in 122 career games in three seasons with Manitoba. In that span, he has scored 77 points (33-44-77) and 60 penalty minutes. Last season, Hansen had a career high eight-game point streak in which he earned five goals and seven assists for 12 points. In 12 Calder Cup playoff games, Hansen scored four points (2-2-4) and two penalty minutes.

Hansen was originally drafted by Vancouver in the ninth round, 287th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
