Adirondack Phantoms News Release
TUESDAY, JANUARY 6 - PHANTOMS at HAMILTON BULLDOGS - 7:30, Copps Coliseum
It's the only visit of the season for the Phantoms to Copps Coliseum to take on the Hamilton Bulldogs (Montreal Canadiens). The Bulldogs start the week with a record of 21-12-2-0 for 44 points to sit third in the Western Conference's North Division. Eighth-year veteran Yanick Lehoux, an offseason free-agent signing by Montreal, leads the club in scoring with eight goals and 24 assists for 32 points. Mike Glumac, another offseason acquisition that came to the club after spending several years in the St. Louis Blues organization, leads the team with 14 goals. Matt D'Agostini also has 14 goals but is currently up with the Canadiens.
FRIIDAY, JANUARY 9 and SATURDAY, JANUARY 10 - PHANTOMS AT GRAND RAPIDS GRIFFINS - 7:00, Van Andel Arena
For the first time since October of 2006, the Phantoms head to western Michigan to visit the Grand Rapids Griffins (Detroit Red Wings) for a pair of games at Van Andel Arena. The teams haven't played in almost exactly two years, since the Griffins played that season's return engagement at the Wachovia Spectrum on January 8, 2007. The Griffins lead the North Division with a record of 21-8-4-3 for 49 points and are the hottest team in the Western Conference with an 8-1-1-0 record in their last 10 games heading into this week. The Griffins have allowed just nine goals in their last eight games. Darren Haydar and Ville Leino lead the team with 28 points apiece - Haydar's coming on 14 goals and 14 assists, and Leino's on eight goals and 20 assists.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 11 - PHANTOMS AT LAKE ERIE MONSTERS - 5:00, Quicken Loans Arena
Philadelphia will wrap up its road trip with a stop in Cleveland to take on the Lake Erie Monsters (Colorado Avalanche). The Monsters are 13-15-1-5 for 32 points, which slots them sixth in the North Division. The Monsters have scored just 71 goals this season, the fewest in the AHL. Chris Durno leads the team with 20 points on nine goals and 11 assists. The game will be the 1000th game in Phantoms history.
PHANTOMS TAKE LONGEST TRIP OF THE SEASON
Philadelphia is currently on its longest road trip of the season. The nine-day, five-game trip will take the team a total of 1,592 miles. Throughout the trip, there will be a Phantoms Road Trip Blog on phantomshockey.com chronicling various interesting aspects of the journey.
PHANTOMS RETURN HOME ON JANUARY 14
The next game at the Wachovia Spectrum comes on Wednesday, January 14 when the Phantoms host the Worcester Sharks. The game could potentially feature Claude Lemieux, who has been playing with the Sharks over the past couple of months. The Phantoms will celebrate their 1,000th game, which actually comes Sunday in Cleveland, with several prizes and events still yet to be finalized. Tickets, however, are available now at the Phantoms website or at 1-800-298-4200.

TRANSACTIONS
The Flyers today recalled goaltender Scott Munroe and RW Andreas Nodl to fill needs created by injuries. The Flyers currently have six call-ups from the Phantoms on their roster - Munroe, Nodl, Darroll Powe, Josh Gratton, Claude Giroux and Jonathon Kalinski. To fill Munroe's spot, the Phantoms recalled goaltender Michael Teslak from ECHL Mississippi. Chris Zarb, Billy Ryan and Rob Sirianni, all brought up from the ECHL after Christmas, have remained with the club as it deals with call-ups and with injuries of its own. The Phantoms have lost 20-man games to injuries and call-ups in the last week alone.
NEWS AND NOTES
Philadelphia has allowed at least 39 shots in each of its last four games. Over that period the club has been outshot 177-111... Patrick Maroon had the two quickest goals of the year by a single Phantoms player when he scored 36 seconds apart late in Tuesday's 6-4 loss at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton... In that same game, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton put up 49 shots against Philadelphia, which was the second consecutive game that Philadelphia's season high for shots against had been eclipsed. Norfolk put up 48 shots the previous Saturday.
