COLUMBUS, GA – After a scoreless first period on Tuesday, the Greenville Grrrowl scored 4 second period goals and beat the Southeast Division-rival Columbus Cottonmouths, 4-0.

TYLER DEIS, JONATHAN ROY and CHRIS GUSTAFSON scored Greenville goals in the short span of 2:27 to start the second period to open a 3-0 lead. Deis added his second goal of the period at 13:00 and the Grrrowl led 4-0 after 40 minutes. There was no scoring in the third period, and despite being outshot 36-22, the Grrrowl posted a 4-0 win. JAYME PLATT recorded 36 saqves for his second shutout in his last 5 appearances, while Tyler Deis recorded 2 goals and 1 assist, and Matt Demarski extended his point-scoring streak to 10 games with 3 assists.

The Grrrowl remain on the road to face the Greensboro Generals Friday at 7:30 PM (Newsradio 1330 & 950, WORD). The next home game is scheduled for Saturday, December 14th against the Florida Everblades (7:05 PM, Teddy Bear toss to benefit Toys for Tots).
